HARASSMENT POLICY

Prevention of workplace violence, verbal, physical and/or sexual harassment

The management of Mabou Mining Inc. is committed to the prevention of workplace violence, verbal, physical and/or sexual harassment of any kind, and is ultimately responsible for worker health and safety. We will take whatever steps are reasonable to protect our workers from workplace violence and harassment from all sources.

Violent or harassing activities in the workplace are unacceptable from anyone. This policy applies to anyone engaged on behalf of Mabou Mining. Everyone is expected to uphold this policy and to work together to prevent workplace violence and harassment.

There is a workplace violence and harassment program that implements these policies. They includes measures and procedures to protect workers from workplace violence and harassment, a means of summoning immediate assistance and a process for workers to report incidents, or raise concerns. 

Mabou Mining Inc. as the employer will ensure that this policy and the supporting program are implemented and maintained and that all workers and supervisors have the appropriate information and instruction to protect them from violence and harassment in the workplace.

Supervisors will adhere to this policy and the supporting programs. Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that measures and procedures are followed by workers and that workers have the information and instruction to protect themselves.

Every worker must work in compliance with this policy and the supporting programs. All workers are encouraged to raise any concerns about workplace violence and harassment and report any violent or harassment incidents or threats.

Management pledges to investigate and deal with all incidents and complaints of workplace violence and harassment in a timely and fair manner, respecting the privacy of all concerned as much as possible.

Note: All actions resulting from defiant of this policy shall be dealt with in a disciplinary manner and an employee maybe relieved from his duties with Mabou Mining Inc.

The workplace violence & harassment policy should be consulted whenever there are concerns about violence or harassment in the workplace.
