Scissor Deck Bolters

Position Summary

Mabou Mining is seeking experienced Scissor Deck Bolters to support underground development and ground support operations across multiple project sites.

Reporting to the Shift Boss or Supervisor, the Scissor Deck Bolter is responsible for installing ground support systems safely and efficiently, ensuring headings are secured and prepared for ongoing development.

Key Responsibilities

• Install ground support systems, including screen, rebar, split sets, and resin bolts

• Operate scissor deck bolters and related underground equipment

• Scale loose ground and identify ground control hazards

• Follow ground support plans and supervisor direction

• Assist in development cycles alongside jumbo operators and crews

• Communicate hazards, equipment issues, and ground conditions

• Maintain clean and organized work areas

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience operating a jumbo drill in underground mining

• Strong knowledge of underground development practices and drilling techniques

• Ability to read and interpret mine plans and layouts

• Experience working in production-focused environments

• Valid underground mining certifications (Common Core or site-specific equivalent)

• First Aid and WHMIS certification
